Kevin Welborn was born and raised in Mount Pleasant. After stints in Clovis, NM and Weatherford, TX , he returned with his family in July 2024.

Kevin graduated from MPHS in 1999 and has degrees from East Texas Baptist University and Liberty Theological Seminary. For twenty years he served on church staffs and learned valuable lessons in leadership and navigating people through difficult decisions.

Kevin has been married to Cara, a native of Hallsville, TX for over twenty years and together they have two teenage daughters who are involved in agriculture and athletics. In his free time, Kevin enjoys lifting weights, being at home, and doing anything with Cara and the girls. The Welborns are also registered Texas Longhorn breeders.
